Tamoxifen Citrate is an anti-estrogen used to treat or prevent breast cancer. It works by blocking the effects of estrogen in the breast tissue and slowing tumor growth.

SPECIFICATION:

    10 mg Tablets:  Each tablet contains 15.2 mg of tamoxifen citrate which is equivalent to 10mg of tamoxifen.

    20 mg Tablets:  Each tablet contains 30.4 mg of tamoxifen citrate which is equivalent to 20 mg of tamoxifen.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE

    Metastatic Breast Cancer; Adjuvant Treatment of Breast Cancer; Ductal Carcinoma in Situ(DCIS); Reduction in Breast Cancer Incidence in High Risk Women.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

    Be contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its ingredients.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

    For patients with breast cancer, the recommended daily dose is 20-40mg. Dosages greater than 20mg per day should be given in divided doses(morning and evening).

    10 mg Tablets: Be supplied in bottles of 60 tablets.

    20 mg Tablets: Be supplied in bottles of 30 tablets.
