Description:
This product is a rapid acting broad spectrum anathematic. Levamisole, the active ingredient acts by first causing paralysis of the wormsand afterwards the worms are expelled in the faeces. Levamisole also helpsstimulate the immunity of the host animal by restoring cell-mediated immunefunctions and phagocytosis of the leucocytes.
It is rapidly absorbed after oral adminstration from GIT, metabolizedto a great extent with only a small percentage being excreted unchanged.
Indications:
This product is indicated for the treatment of nematode infectionsin cattle, calves, sheep, goats; it is effective against severalgenera of roundworms and lungworms eg. Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Ostertagia, Ascaridae, Trichuris, Chabertia, Strongloides, Cooreria, Nematodirus, Bumostomum, Oesophagostomum, protostrongylus Metastrongylus, Dictyocaulus etc.
