  • Description
COMPOSITION
For specification of 10%, each ml contains Gentamycin Sulphate 170mg equivalent to 100mg Gentamycin base.

INDICATIONS
Gentamicin Sulfate injection is used for treatment of diseases caused by both Gram +ve and Gram-ve pathogens as it is not absorbed from GIT.
Gentamicin Sulfate injection is effective against Staph., Strept., Pseudomonas, Proteus, Mycoplasma, E coli, Salmonella and Klebsiella species.
Gentamincin Sulfate injection is the drug of choice in cases of resistance to other classic antibiotics as Oxytetracycline, Chloramphenicol and Sulphonamides.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Poultry, Cattle, Equines, Sheep &Goat:
The stated dose for all species in 4 mg/kg body weight for 3 days by I.M. Injection.
Dogs & Cats:
0.25 ml / 6 kg body weight for 2-4 days.
One day old chicken:
0.2 ml from the 10 times diluted solution by sterile water or saline solution by S.C. Injection.
The dose my be increased according to the severity of disease.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Not to use with muscle relaxants.
Not to be used for animal suffering from kidney disorders.

SIDE - EFFECTS
In cases of prolonged using or over dosage the following side effects may occur:
Renal and hepatic disorders.
Inflammation in inner and middle ear.

STORAGE
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

PACKING
In a 50ml or 100ml glass bottle.

EXPIRY
3 years.
